My 1st electric build. Its an archtop electric. Based on the
Gibson Byrdland. Curly maple/Curly Aspen top. Curly maple
sides. Back is going to be Curly Maple too. Neck is Birdseye
Maple. The freboard is triple binded Indian Rosewood with
Curly Sycamore Binding. The pickups are Custom 50's vintage
wound soapbar P-90s. I tested the pickups myself, 7.26 bridge,
7.05 neck. I wish I could get accurate potimeters. 500k. Most
are 480ish. Does it matter..we will find out.

This is a side mold getting glued up. I've never used one
before. It is needed to make the florentine cutaway.
Glueing on the binding. 3M green tape is some
great stuff. Wyatt took the pictures for me.
Fitting the binding
Binding done, next inlay or dots. I might do gold pearl shell.
Then gold fret wire. I need to get started on the neck too.
I thought I might add some gold pearl shell inlays. I'm
going to do an eagle on the 12th fret. I drew it out on
masking tape. Stuck it on the shell, and we are ready for

We got the laser out. Drilled some holes for the dots on the fretboard.
